Na Na Na! Series 3 - AnnaBelle, Fifi and Sasha

Who: AnnaBelle Mooshe (Cow), Fifi Le Fluff (Poodle), and Sasha Scratch (black cat)

Where & When: Big W Australia, March to May 2021 

How much: AnnaBelle $32, Fifi and Sasha $25 each (on sale! owo!)

I've done the series VERY out of order. 

Their packaging is all exactly the same; all purple, all have Sasha on the front, all have stickers on the back and bottom. The interior packaging is identical too, all purple baggies. And of course the white, black and purple confetti in cute shapes. These are lighter shades of purple to Series 4.

  

What's not identical is the identifying stickers on the front of the packaging, and then what comes out of the big inflatable bag. The cow head is AnnaBelle, the bone is Fifi, and the cat is Sasha. This matches with the checklist by the way! So before you go and grab one, check out a checklist online!

AnnaBelle Mooshe

I wouldn't have gotten AnneBalle weren't it for the second-hand incomplete AnnaBelle I bought to attempt customising, but then I was like "oh no she's cute! Do I really want to do this?" Alas I did, and simultaneously decided I'd get a new one of her too.

 

AnnaBelle has a cow-face Pom, white with brown splotches and plastic moo-cow horns attached like the eyes of a teddy. The clasp and zipper have ears and tiny little horns in their design.

  

Inside is miss AnnaBelle. Gorgeous strawberry blonde/light ginger hair, blue eyes, freckles, and denim blue undies. Very tasteful! Her birthday is 29th September, so she's a Libra :) Her right horn is a little loose and wiggly, I'll have to rethread it, but thats okay.

      

Her clothes are OMEGA cute. Look at them! The little yee-haw boots with sunflowers, the denim shorts, the tied-front check flannel. *dies* The shirt and shorts are a little bit small, or maybe I've just put them on wrong, I dunno.

   

I did briefly switch her original outfit with my other one to see how it would fit, and it did kinda fit better but the angry OCD monster within me says what she came with she must stay wearing... for now.

 

I was sad she didn't have her pigtails like the character art on the checklist. So I gave her them, but not before I cut the ANNOYING tag off the back of her head.

Fifi le Fluff

Fifi has a gorgeous purple rose-fur - or as I've been told "rosette minky" - poodle with pink bows. I have an irrational love of Rose-Fur thanks to some Japanese plush that has come through my hands and I can't stop it. It is so pretty, so soft, I'm going to d i e. Back to THIS product, the clasp and zipper have little fluffy poodle ears. 

    

Fifi's birthday is December 10th and is a Sagittarius. Her hat matches her Pom, but the rose-fur pattern isn't very obvious amongst all the seams. Of course, I've cut off that tag.


Fifi's lingerie is a little bit spicy or raunchy for a children's toy in my opinion, but a child might think it's very pretty and cute. She's wearing basques, garters, and sheer socks and they're very detailed. It's very much so not practical underwear or sleepwear these days and more so used as alluring attire, but the basques bodice was very popular in the Victorian era as shapewear, with a French origin. That ties back to Fifi's very French theme, but it's quite the questionable design choice on MGA's part. It's the first Na Na I've had with the most skin-covering lingerie, but it's a little bit TOO mature of an outfit.

  

Thankfully Fifi's cute as hell clothes cover up the sus. She's got a striped tee, shiny poodle skirt, tap shoes, and A VERY SMOL ASCOT.

Sasha Scratch

Sasha's Pom is a tie-dyed purple cat with a little bit of a limp ear from being squished for so long. She's got a gold cat-eared clasp and pink zipper.

  

Sasha herself was quite the journey for me. Her cap was plastic-wrapped, the metal MEOW tissue paper wrapped... then I found a piece of paper tape with Chinese handwriting on it taped to her back, and her head came off when I tried to turn it! There are cracks in the neck joint too. 

      

Some people on Instagram responded to my Story when I found the tape and said it had something to do with her head, one specifically saying it seemed to say "Fix Head". 
That's HILARIOUS. 


I've contacted MGAE Australian customer support about this... issue and answers to the paper tape and will include a summary of the response below this section. They've been a little slow to respond as of late, so the update may not be for some time.

Sarah's printed-on underwear is kinda goth/street/swag styled... I don't know. The clothes are so SHINY though! Shame about the wonky paint alignment on one of the shoes. The MEOW on her faux leather hat and skirt aren't real metal, just metallic paint coated, as are the buckles, and the holographic gold top is brilliant.

These kiddos are still some of my favourite and unique lines of dolls. I still hate the tags on the back of their head and how much plastic there is that's waste, and Fifi's underwear specifically was a little questionable for me. They're still great surprise toys though, I feel the value is worth it, and kids will enjoy the surprise reveal process in addition to the soft-feel fashion doll inside.

Next time I review a Na Na, I'll be checking out Marina Jewels! Yes, I found one in general retailers for non-scalper prices!!! On sale too! I have her on hand and ready, but I think she's waiting for someone? A friend perhaps?

I'm hoping I can find and purchase another from the Sparkle Series before they completely disappear from shelves again. I'm not sure who else I should get though, because I do kinda want the whole set of these ones, and that's a first. Who do you think I should get? Poopsie Surprise Fantasy Friends - Hunting the mythical mermaids

Note: Click on pics to enlarge! POOPSIE SURPRISE FANTASY FRIENDS BY MGA! They've been out for a WHOLE year, and I've been squinting at them for as long, trying to decide if they're worth it to buy. I hate slime, I hate messy glitter but the dolls do be kinda cute tho! Barbie Colour Reveal Mermaids - Why Are There Twelve Codes?

Late to the party as usual, yes I know. These tubes have been sitting around, being bumped, knocked, and kicked over since before Christmas 'cause I've been busy with other stuff so I think it's time I crack into them. I purchased them for what I think was $17 each? It's been a while and I'm not sure where the receipt is lol. Regular retail is anywhere between $20-30 here, and they were 'on sale'. Much like the Chelseas, the Barbies have codes printed on the top to identify who is inside. The black print makes these so much easier to read and photograph. [Codes] [2] The numbers that matter are the second and third, so for example; 2540I - 5 and 4 are the two numbers of importance, which I'll bracket from now on.
