#FailFix Review [Pt. 4] - TWO Evening Dance Stylz?!
We met up this weekend just passed for a catch-up holiday of sorts. She hand-delivered to me, all the way from Townsville to the Gold Coast, three Fail Fix dolls, including two Dance Stylz and one Kawaii. I was still looking for both 'Sparkle' and 'Evening' Dance at the time, and thanks to my hacks she was able to identify one of the two Dance's to be the ultra-rare 'Evening' variant. Nice! I wasn't certain what the second Dance would be, but I figured she's quite tough to find at this time and to pick her up, and if she wasn't what I needed, I'm sure I could find her a new home.
As it turned out, the second Dance was indeed the common 'Day' variant, and the Kawaii more unfortunately, was as well.
Later in the trip, late at night and in a very empty shopping centre, a local friend and I went and ransacked the Kmart where I found two quite surprising toy releases I wasn't expecting here in Australia yet, which I'll look at in their own separate post, and a small bunch of FailFix dolls. Lots of normal Kawaii's, lots of normal Glams and one lone Dance; ANOTHER EVENING VARIANT. You betcha I took her home! I found a 'Sparkle' Glam too and would have brought her with me if it weren't for limited space but someone else gets the chance to discover her :3
With this second Dance I grabbed yet another Kawaii which I was misled to believe was the Sparkle variant because she had stray glitter on her bottom eyelid. The stray glitter was just that, stray, and she was another 'Day', with a cut large in the shoulder of her dress - yikes - that I'm not sure can be fixed before she is rehomed.
I ripped them all (but one Dance) free from their boxes prior to coming home so I could reduce the volume I needed to take home on the trains.
This post is just for the stunning Evening Dance that I unboxed. I plan to leave the second one boxed as I've wanted to just have one still in the box, and she's perfect for it.
All accessories are the same with all variants of Dance, so I won't be including info about that.
Who: DanceStylz!
Variant: Evening
Fix Makeup: pink and purple eyeshadow, silver glitter below eyebrows, pink and purple stars above and below the right eye, number 98 in pink and purple gradient on the left cheek. Lipstick purple at the centre, gradients to pink outside
Fix Outfit: Purple sequin-covered sports dress with silver-white net sleeves and pink ribbon bands. V-neck with faux undershirt, center of dress detailed with pink glitter lightning bolt.
When doing my standard hot water, dish liquid dunk, Dance showed light hair loss signs, but it wasn't straight from the rooting like my other one had. They were sections, cut off from a single strand, likely left behind in factory trimming.
[Left: markings][4]As I left one of my Dance's in the box, I can show what is visible when finding an 'Evening' variant. This information will be edited into Part 3, at the bottom where I've detailed the eye differences in all others I have.
I'm still on the search for the final 'Evening' variant I need, Glam, who's proving quite the issue to acquire, in addition to the three 'Sparkles' I'd like to get. I still think the Dance 'Sparkle' will be a struggle, and based on the two duplicate Kawaii's I've gotten, I think she's going to be hard to track down too. I honestly might give up on the 'Sparkles' at this point, we'll see.
