#FailFix Review [Pt. 4] - TWO Evening Dance Stylz?!

Image
Note: Click on pics to enlarge! You already know what the boxes look like - they're the same, even for variants - so I'm not showing them again. If you haven't seen them, check them out in  [Part 1]  and  [Part 2] . Yeah, you read that right! Two Evening DanceStylz dolls! A friend had found some FailFix for me and brought them down to me. In my quest to obtain all variants that I want (essentially all except Preppi) She managed to track down 3 dolls from 1,500 KM away. We met up this weekend just passed for a catch-up holiday of sorts. She hand-delivered to me, all the way from Townsville to the Gold Coast, three Fail Fix dolls, including two Dance Stylz and one Kawaii. I was still looking for both 'Sparkle' and 'Evening' Dance at the time, and thanks to my hacks she was able to identify one of the two Dance's to be the ultra-rare 'Evening' variant. Nice! I wasn't certain what the second Dance would be, but I figured she's quite tough t...

#FailFix Review [Pt.3] - Some variants!

Note: Click on pics to enlarge! You already know what the boxes look like - they're the same, even for variants - so I'm not showing them again. If you haven't seen them, check them out in [Part 1] and [Part 2] . The same goes for the 'Fail' makeup, hair, etc. The only things that are different between variants are the dress and makeup. This, along with my experience with these specific dolls is what I'll be covering. [Left: frizzy poof][2] I did my whole bowl of hot water and dish liquid thing again, which worked to remove the 'fail' but for some reason, this DJ and Kawaii had very poofy frizzy hair, like it was the end of the spool?  Tried brushing it out before drying - didn't budge.  Tried re-setting it with more water and tieing it down - wouldn't co-operate.  Boiled the kettle and drowned them - started working but there was still some frizz.  Did it again - yay, fixed! These three were the first I experienced moderate hair loss when combi...

#FailFix Review [Pt.2] - Preppi, Glam and 2Dreami

Image
Note: Click on pics to enlarge! Hello there! I'm back with more #FailFix just as I said I would be! I've realised since the last post was written that it's a massive text wall and not at all a joy to read, so I'm going to do my best to summarise things in more of a small paragraph, bullet-point style, and include waaay more pictures. I picked up the last 3 dolls I needed to 'complete' the set; PreppiPosh (Preppi), Loves.Glam (Glam), and 2Dreami (Dream)! Preppi and Glam came from Kmart surprisingly, for $25 each, and Dream from Target for $49. I was intending on buying them all from Target but happily welcomed the Kmart stock as they had far more than Target. I visited Big W first to see what their stock was looking like, but there were only Glams, and they were slightly reduced from $29 to $27 for 'promo'. I of course didn't pick them up because I knew where to find them for a few bucks cheaper. I picked up an additional 3 secret duplicate...

#FailFix Review [Pt.1] - The dolls that need a style saviour

Image
Note: Click on pics to enlarge! After Capsule Chix, Moose Toys have released another interesting and unique product, however this time it's not a complete mystery what you will receive. The new doll line of #FailFix features a never seen before attribute where playing with the doll starts with fixing it. When these dolls were announced and I first started seeing teasers and ads, I'd already fallen in love. Because America always gets things first (I'm Australian), I sat back and waited for unboxing videos and reviews, did some research and inevitably solidified my love for them. I'd like to share that, so that you may make the decision yourself as to if you'd like to add them to your own collection, to gift them, or perhaps if they're suitable for your children. In the #FailFix line, there are 6 characters; Dance.Stylz, PreppiPosh, Loves.Glam, SlayItDJ, Kawaii.Qtee and 2Dreami. White the others are simple style packs, 2Dreami is the 'Epic Colour...
