No video unless I get around to doing it, and as such will be added.
Henlo! Long time no see! I have been smashed with information from a crash course. I've been very overwhelmed and in desperate need of some toy therapy.
I also took a much-needed break on this release because the unboxing, photographing, and recording process had become so repetitive. I tried to churn out four separate unboxings/reviews at the same, rather than focusing on ONE at a time and it burned me out. I've learned my lesson, I need to pace myself between sets, brands, and really take my time!
From now on, for this set, I'll be doing multiple in one post, still one at a time though, taking my time for each. It'll reduce post clutter and add a little bit more to look at in each post.
For this one, there'll be three Hair Flips!
-----
I'll be looking at Bluegrass Queen, Stix Queen and Radical QT; the Rares and Ultra Rare in this set :)
Bluegrass and Radical were both purchased at general retailers for $15-19 each, and I got Stix on eBay for $31 including post.
They've all got the same outer packaging, same instructions, same inner surprise baggies. All 3 of these ones specifically have black and gold speakers, and gold transparent tot cases, as per their Rare/Ultra Rare 'rarity'. Others have different colours - either pink, blue or yellow. All three also, coincidentally, have the exact same lyric sheets.
Identical sticker lyrics:
The focus will be on their case placement, contents, etc. Everything that is different between them. Note: Batch codes and weights may vary slightly between identical individuals. What've I've written down is what mine had.
Batch code 26320 MBGE, weighed 430g, and her box placement in an untampered case should be here; TOP BACK LEFT.
Part of the Glitterati, RM-001 with fellow Rare, Bluegrass Queen.
Record sleeve & record! A simple aged black and gothic text cover. Rainbow holo coated record.
Her record deck plays the following clip from the remix crew song, a Chorus/Pop BB verse;
Hair & hair flip! Her hairstyle is my favourite in the series. Two-tone pink with silver tinsel. Mohawk split ties and glitter-coated shaven sides. Black hair is hidden between the groupings of pink hair in four separate buns. Fairly well-rooted except for the front-most point of her fringe, shown in the images after these. I'm unsure how it'll handle brushing as I do not intend to 'play' with them. It would be best to assume from now on I won't be brushing any curly-haired dolls as it may ruin the curls.
Face details and prints! She's got metallic lip print colour, glittery eyes and earrings. Lots of sparkle shiny on this one. Note the two-tone side-shaven areas as well.
Colour change! Her body changes from grey to silver into a deep pink and black, almost looking like some Beetlejuice fashion. Quite a lot of glitter lost on her gloves and some silver paint smear up her arm, though. I suppose metallic doesn't apply as well as the flat colours.
Accessories! These are so unique to her; the drumkit, bolt hairclips, and the pink glitter embedded black comb and cup are something none of the others I've seen has had. SO much silver and pink glitter. The glue seepage on the top of the bottle is a little unfortunate though.
Dressed, and a new thing I'm trying; under UV light. She's VERY reactive, mostly just the pinks.
------------------------
Part of the Glitterati, RM-002 with fellow Rare Stix Queen; a pair of Queens.
She's got 8 surprise baggies; 7 small, one big.
Record sleeve & record! A simple blue-backed country album cover. Rainbow holo coated record.
Her record deck plays the following clip from the remix crew song, Lonestar verse;
Hair & hair flip! Styled into a ponytail with a single curly bang at the front. Her pretty peach locks are speckled with some gold tinsel and tied back in a blue elastic. The flip isn't completely hidden and is tied up within the main chunk of hair, and inside with a gold elastic.
Face details and prints! Wacky neck join, an earring glued in too far out, kinda yikes eye glitter, and wonky eyebrows. Gold starry gymnast bodysuit with gold fishnets. She's got glasses divets!
Colour change! Gold bodysuit changes to black with gold stars in ice-cold, and back with warmth.
Accessories! Mostly blue and gold, with a generous portion of gold glitter. The pink banjo is kind of out of place.
Bluegrass dressed! How's she look under a UV light? Not that interesting! My camera wasn't picking up the reactive materials well or maybe the torch needed charging. The hair, lips, hairpins, stand, boots and the neck of the banjo were the most reactive.
I'm not the biggest fan of country-style stuff but the colours work well together. Perhaps the dislike of country stuff is why I haven't looked at Lonestar yet. OOPS.
Radical is RM-006 and part of the Pop Club, partner of Bangle BB!
