L.O.L. Fuzzy Pets but mostly Confetti Under Wraps Re-Release
When I purchased Chillax I was sent two bonus L.O.L products, a Fuzzy Pets and a Confetti Under Wraps re-release.
Of the Fuzzy Pets I got Go Go Birdie, and while I have O.M.G. Speedster, I have no interest in her family or the look-a-likes, nor bird pets in general. It's also covered in this really gross flocking fuzz and I do not like it. It makes my hands itchy, but I'd tolerate it if I got a pet I actually want and like. To find out who I would like, go [here]. I didn't even touch the modelling compound at the bottom of the container because I have no intention of keeping her. I can't give a good proper review on this particular series until I do get one I actually like. Go Go Birdie weighed 191g and had the clue Fur Baby.
For those who are interested, this is what is included;
The Confetti will likely stay as I like her, so I did a proper review for her. This one was 390g, most of which is the case.
The Confetti tube at first has a similar reveal process to the standard balls, with 2 layers of printed tear-strip layering, but no clue sticker, just the little sticker sheet with the water-behaviour-types.
There's a ribbon, a pull tab for opening the 'doors'. I pulled this ribbon while the doors are facing upright launches confetti and the contents and startled me. The backing behind the doll and contents is spring-loaded and pushes everything out. The three outer compartments are also spring-loaded, which makes the capsule bulky and heavy. The confetti is large and made of paper, so it's not the worst mess in the world to clean up and is recyclable.
Onto the contents of the capsule. The doll is dressed in a squishy silicone suit, hiding her appearance - part of the 'under wraps' theme of course- and laid in a piece of tissue paper. All dolls in this series have this squishy suit, but it varies depending on who you get. I know there are designs like a vampire look, mermaid and more. There's also a party hat, instructions and a checklist. I find the instructions are a little unnecessary up until after opening, as they cannot be read until the doors are opened. The accessories - bottle, shoes and outfit - are each contained in the 3 smaller outer compartments, also wrapped in tissue paper. I do greatly prefer the tissue wrapping over the plastic baggies for everything. It's nice MGA is listening to their fans and pushing towards more environmentally friendly wrappers. There's also a matching handle for the tube capsule to make it portable.
The squishy hot pink silicone suit the doll is wearing inside appears to be a ram. The instructions say to tear parts away to reveal the doll, but I've chosen only to reveal the eyes for now. These squishy bits could make a second set of accessories, which I wouldn't mind experimenting with if I can get my hands on multiple of these suits, to see what products do and don't work with or stick to the material.
Inside the silicone case is the little, Big City BB! I love the baby-blue pale-teal x pink combo, which is one of my faves. She sorta-kinda looks like Chillax's little sister if it weren't for the actual little sister Lazy Bones.
What really caught my eye was her INTENSE ice-cold colour change. It's currently too hot here so I put her in the freezer like a psychopath, and was amazed by the difference. I've had colour changers before but nothing like this, my goodness.
I don't mind this series and I don't typically like any of the standard little sister releases so that says something. I'm not a fan of the large and weighty case it comes in or the price - starting at $17 here - but I would consider adding a few of my favourites to my collection if they were already revealed, with everything but the cases.
